Introduction to Weaving: Beginners Workshop

This beginner-friendly session will guide you through the basics as you create a simple coaster or small bowl — no experience needed, just curiosity and creativity. All materials are included.

About your facilitator:

Hi, I’m Shannon, a crafter based in the Adelaide Hills. I love all things creative and have a strong passion for handmade products, as well as connecting with people through the process of making. I first learned weaving during COVID and have been weaving ever since.

I’m excited to be running an upcoming weaving workshop at The Hut Community Centre. This will be a beginner-friendly workshop, where participants will learn the foundations of coil basket weaving. During the session, participants can create either a small coaster or a mini bowl.
