Flavours of Our Community
February 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
$10
Thanks to generous funding from Foundation SA, we’re excited to launch a series of cooking classes at The Village Well called Flavours of Our Community.
These sessions celebrate diverse cultures, connection, and the joy of sharing food. Each class will be hosted by community members who love cooking and believe in its power to bring people together.
Additional meals will be donated to our food pantry for people in our community in need.
Want to get involved?
Have a family recipe to share, or a story from your culture you’d love to tell over a meal? Get in touch with Courtney—we’d love to hear from you! We can’t wait to cook, learn, and connect with you.
Third Session – Flavours of Manchuria (China)!
About Manchurian Cuisine
Manchurian cuisine comes from one of China’s ethnic minority groups and has had a lasting influence on Chinese food through the famous 108 imperial dishes. It places strong value on nutrition, balance and harmony, with layered flavours that come together to create rich, satisfying meals.
About Stella Bella
Stella Bella is a Manchurian descendant from China who has lived across Australia, including Sydney and Melbourne, and now calls the Adelaide Hills home. She loves the outdoors and travel, and when she’s not hiking or exploring in her van, you’ll find her volunteering at community events or sharing her newest passion — collage art classes around Australia. Stella is also a keen photographer and enthusiastic backpack collector
