Building Women, together with our partners, and ATEC (RTO 0022) is delivering an accredited, hands-on training program designed to help women gain practical skills and explore exciting opportunities in the construction industry.
What’s Included:
* Accredited training: Introduction to Construction Skill Set (SSDIS01008)
* Site visits & guest speakers
* Career coaching & wellbeing sessions
* Work experience opportunities & real employment pathways upon completion
* All PPE provided
Open to women aged 17+ in southern Adelaide and surrounds who are not currently enrolled in school.
This taster program includes the nationally recognised Introduction to Construction Skill Set covering:
* White Card CPCWHS1001
* Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry CPCCWHS2001
* Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry CPCCOM1012
* Use construction tools & equipment CPCCCM2005
* Undertake a basic construction project CPCCVE1011
* Work safely at heights CPCCCM2012
Starting 4 May 2026, this 7-week program runs 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday), 9am - 3pm. It combines classroom learning, hands-on activities, and immersive industry experiences. All training will be delivered at ATEC, 5 Refinery Road, Lonsdale.
This training is fully funded for those that meet the eligibility criteria.
Information Session:
Attendance is mandatory for all applicants. The session covers program details, eligibility, and required commitment. It consists of two parts:
1 Information presentation
2. Selection session for eligible participants
