Regional ACE Conversation Series
In partnership, Skills SA and Community Centres SA will be embarking on a series of conversations to explore Adult Community Education (ACE) in regional South Australia. Both organisations extend a warm welcome to attend.
The sessions will explore local needs, barriers, and opportunities to support the development of foundation skills and pathways to vocational education and training in community settings. Engage in the discussion to provide views on future direction, including sector and educator development.
Join senior staff from Skills SA and newly appointed CCSA CEO, Kerrie Akkermans, to discuss both the opportunities and pain points for increasing access and delivery in ACE in regional South Australia. The discussion will help Skills SA shape targeted funding support for ACE in regional communities and offer you a chance to connect with us on the role of ACE to build capacity, inclusion, and connection across the sector.
What is ACE?
Adult Community Education provides opportunities for people to engage with education and training while developing the language, literacy, numeracy; and digital skills needed for study, work, and life. Through positive and supportive experiences, learners gain the confidence and skills they need to participate in the community, enter further study, or upskill in their current workplace.
